18 month old twins

It may or may not have been nap time for these two beautiful, blue eyed twins, but they were troopers! I can't get over how sweet they were and even though they really wanted to play with all the toys instead of let me take their pictures, I was still able to get some beautiful images! It was so fun to meet the little ladies!

Children Session: Brothers

These two were a blast to shoot. The youngest wanted absolutely nothing to do with my camera. He did however enjoy pretending he was on a hay ride in the leaves. Mom and big brother were super helpful to try to get him to smile. I got the sweetest little smirks from him and big brother! You would never guess the wind was blowing 20 mph and it was freeeeezing! ~Enjoy!

Family Session: Collins

Elizabeth's E-ma (grandmother) and Riley Quinn's Ma-momo (grandmother) have been best friends for over 25 years. Her daddy and I grew up together. He's like my big brother. I have taken Elizabeth's Christmas pictures since she was one. This is the third year and I am amazed at how much she changes each year. She is turning into such a beautiful LITTLE GIRL. She is most definitely not a baby anymore! E-ma was in town and we had lunch together. We knew we wanted to do photos and instead of going to a location, we did them in my yard! I think they turned out pretty nicely! Thanks for letting me help you guys share these memories each year! xoxo

For comparisons sake. This was last year and this year. I am amazed at the difference. Not only at how much sweet Elizabeth has changed, but myself as a photographer as well. I can only give a shout out a million times, but I thank Heidi from Heidi Joy Photography for helping me get to where I am today. She has taught me SO much!

Rainy Day Cure

Who doesn't put their brand spankin' new Christmas pajamas on at 2pm on a rainy day a week before Thanksgiving to play peek-a-boo? I thought everyone did!

Newborn Session: Joshua

This little heart breaker shares a birthday with my Riley Quinn. She is exactly one year older than him. In the first photo he was 14 days old. He was 23 days old in the rest. Isn't it amazing what one week can do? (Oh, and a much better lens that finally comes in the mail!) Happy birthday, sweet baby Joshua. Congratulations to his wonderful mommy and daddy!

Newborn Session: Brady

Brady was an adorable little newborn. He slept almost the entire session. It was great to snuggle with him. This Topsail Beach session rates as a favorite of mine. He was just too sweet.

Engagement Session: Katie & Zach

These two were super fun to shoot! We had a wonderful time downtown at Brightleaf Square in Durham. You can't even tell that Zach wanted his twin brother to be his stand in so he could have stayed home. ;)

Maternity Session: Heidi

Let's put it this way... You're making homemade spaghetti for the greatest Italian pasta chef you know. Yep. That is how it felt to take pictures of this incredible photographer. I was a ball of nerves. It's a good thing she is a great friend and mentor! You can check her out here.
