Sweet Grady was born a tad earlier than expected, but you sure can't tell with the way he holds his head up and looks at you! I was so excited when I realized Grady's dad was in the Army. Being a military wife, I couldn't wait to jazz up this session! The flag was brought back from Afghanistan and holds a special place in this families heart, I am sure. These go down as some of my all time favorite images here at LSP and what better time than the 4th of July for them to have been done close to!

This sweet senior booked her session well in advance. Of course the first big "summer evening storm" hit just an hour before her session. Luckily they were staying in a house within walking distance and at 7:45 when we saw a break in the storm we went for it! (She had already changed out of her clothes and was ready for dinner!) It couldn't have been more perfect. The actual beach was super windy but deserted. My favorite little "secret" spot on the island was also deserted. A place I can typically only shoot at in the off season as tourists love to fish there in the summer! It is a very busy little spot and thankfully the storm cleared it out last night and I am in love with the shots we got over there. I hope you enjoy these images! I can't wait to finish culling and editing for her gallery!

I am behind and so out of order on my blog posts! I promise I will get them all up soon! While I love downtown and all the colorful walls and backgrounds it has to offer, I certainly love the simplicity of a field session. The weather has been perfect and this family rocked their session! If you are interested in an evening session here in the field, let me know! I have limited dates available for summer sessions in Durham, so get in touch soon! Laurensoignetphotography@hotmail.com.
