Christmas Mini Sessions 2015 {South Durham, North Carolina Photographer}

It was quite a weekend with so many Christmas Mini sessions, but I am so glad it worked out and the weather was perfect! Some people ask me what a mini session is. A mini session is a quick session that is scheduled back to back with others. I typically schedule 4-5 back to back. They are twenty minutes long and include 5 images. Even though the sessions are only twenty minutes, most end up with 10 or more awesome images. Last weekened, I even got a full 20 images into two of them per request as images are a la carte if available. Mini sessions are perfect for the younger kids who would never last an entire 45-minutes to an hour for a full session. I have added a mini package for 10 photos for 2016 Mini Sessions. They will all be scheduled together, you can just pick the 5 images or the 10 images!

Here are a few sneak peeks from my 2015 Christmas Mini Sessions.

Mini Session Season {Durham,NC Family Photographer}

Hey everyone! I can't believe it is already mid November. Time is flying. I have ventured away from family photography as a general rule but I have so many clients that want pictures done for the holiday season. That is when I start doing big mini session runs. And by runs I mean every single weekend and tons in one day! It makes for one exhausted me, but very happy families. Totally worth it!!

I'm booked solid for 2015, but stay tuned to my Facebook page for the next time I offer mini sessions. The more you like and comment on my facebook page, the more it will show up in your newsfeed.

Here are a few sneak peeks even though most are sworn to privacy for Christmas cards. I just love this simple location and can't wait for all of my sessions tomorrow!

{Twins} Durham, NC Newborn Photographer

I seriously had so much fun with this session. These sweet 21 day old identical twin sisters slept their entire session. I don't think I saw their eyes open until it was time to get dressed to go home! I will admit I was nervous when I got the email and read not only twins but that they were much older than I am used to working with. I was like "sure, why not!" lol. It turned out so great and I am so happy with the whole session. I am loving having my she-shed to play with babies in these days! :)

{Sweet Emerson} Durham, NC Newborn Photographer

This little hobby of mine is rocking my world lately. My shed turned studio has been amazing for working with lots of setups. When I taught first grade I worked with Emerson's mom and I was so excited when she asked me to do her newborn photos! She was an absolute doll!

Durham, NC Newborn Photographer {Baby G}

Today I had my first newborn in the studio since it has been finished! To say the session was perfect is an understatement. Here are some of my favorite shots from the session! I haven't finished going through all of them and I can't wait to have the gallery for this mom and dad! Mom brought along some of dad's books from his residency, his stethoscope and the cute knit scrubs! She also brought the jersey and football outfit to surprise dad with. I love when parents bring their own ideas to play with!

Enjoy!

2015 Fall Mini Sessions Round 1 | Durham, NC Family Photographer |

I had so much fun at my little remote wooded location in South Durham. It was a PERFECT day for mini sessions and I got to meet some new faces and see some familiar ones! My dates or mini sessions have all booked at this time, however if you are available on weekday afternoons, we can most certainly work something out for this location! Shoot me an email and let's make it happen!

Paws4People Puppies [Durham, NC Natural Light Photographer]

I was honored to work with these sweet puppies today. I'm used to taking pictures of babies... but not four legged ones! Let me tell you if you need to be happy... be in a room with tons and tons of PUPPIES!!! Head on over to Paws4people.org to learn more about this organization that trains service dogs. "This nonprofit’s mission is to enhance the lives of those living with serious illnesses or disabilities by utilizing highly trained assistance dogs." How incredible is that?!

Now take a look at these sweet puppies and SMILE!
